Petra was an average girl in an average middle class “apple pie and Sunday church” Christian family. Eventually growing disillusioned with their parental responsibilities, her parents became devil-worshipping cult members practicing the "freedom" of death (yep, you read that right), and her childhood home became the staging ground for many macabre rituals and orgies. The violence culminated in her finding her mother's remains preserved in the refrigerator.

Traumatized as all hell and neglected to the point of scrounging for food, Petra survived by any means necessary, adopting her signature goth persona along the way. She was eventually found by Master Lin, headmaster of Kings Dominion, an academy for honing the next generation of assassins, enforcers, and killers for hire. who offered her a place at Kings Dominion Atelier of the Deadly Arts, a school to train the next generation of assassins in the art of killing. Due to her lowly street rat origins, she and her friends are considered the "losers" by the pedigreed legacy students tracing their family trees through lines of cartels, gangs, intelligence agencies, and prolific psychos. Some things about the high school experience never change.

Her goal? Learn enough to graduate and get out alive. Though at a school where the final exam is for legacies to hunt the rats to death and see who survives, that's easier said than done.
